Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced bid manager to join our thriving Professional Services team.
The Bid Manager plays a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for leading the bid process from inception to completion. This individual will collaborate closely with various internal teams to develop winning proposals that align with client needs and objectives. The Bid Manager will also oversee the bid strategy, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.



Key Responsibilities

Bid Process Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end bid management process, including opportunity identification, qualification, and proposal submission
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, solution architects, subject matter experts, legal, finance, etc.) to gather necessary inputs and ensure timely completion of proposals
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive bid schedule, ensuring adherence to deadlines and milestones

Bid Strategy and Planning:

  • Analyze bid documents and client requirements to develop a tailored bid strategy that highlights our unique value proposition
  • Conduct thorough market research and  competitor analysis to inform bid strategies and differentiate our proposals
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to create compelling bid responses that address client pain points and demonstrate our capabilities

Proposal Development:

  • Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, coherence, and compliance with client requirements and evaluation criteria
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to incorporate technical specifications and solution details into bid responses
  • Manage the production of high-quality proposal documents, including formatting, graphics, and other visual elements

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct reviews of draft proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company standards and branding guidelines
  • Implement best practices for quality assurance and continuous improvement in the bid management process

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Foster strong relationships with clients and partners throughout the bid lifecycle, serving as a primary point of contact for bid-related inquiries
  • Attend client meetings, presentations, and site visits as needed to gather information and build rapport

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT solutions and technologies, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling proposals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas concisely and persuasively
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
  • Familiarity with bid management tools and platforms is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across departments
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in bid management within the IT industry, with a track record of successfully securing contracts and winning bids
  • The candidate should have at least 5+ years of relevant experience
