Position Summary
The GIS Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing geospatial data and maps to support telecom network planning, optimization, and operations. The incumbent will ensure high data quality, manage telecom-related GIS layers, support legacy data migration, and contribute to dashboards, reports, and documentation, while leveraging industry-standard GIS tools and spatial databases.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain GIS maps and spatial datasets for telecom networks.
- Perform spatial analysis for cell sites, fiber routes, coverage, and network planning.
- Manage and update telecom-related GIS layers.
- Assist in coverage analysis, site feasibility, and network optimization.
- Work with shapefiles, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, and other spatial formats.
- Ensure data accuracy, validation, and quality control of GIS datasets.
- Support network planning and RF teams with GIS-based analysis and maps.
- Generate thematic maps, dashboards, and reports for management.
- Assist in legacy GIS data cleanup and migration.
- Maintain proper GIS documentation and metadata.
Required Skills
- GIS mapping software products (ESRI & QGIS).
- Experience as a GIS Analyst, preferably in the telecom domain.
- GIS databases (SQL, Postgres).
- Strong understanding of spatial data concepts, projections, and coordinate systems.
- Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS or spatial databases (preferred).
- Remote sensing & satellite image interpretation.
- Cartography & mapping skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
- Motivation and a proactive attitude.
- The ability to translate requirements into working solution scenarios.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Space Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited university.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in the design, development & implementation of GIS systems.
