Senior Network Engineer – Core Operations
Position Summary:
Responsible to handle operations, upgradation, and optimization of Wateen IP/MPLS Core network (EVPN/MPLS), Access network planning and implementation
Location:
Lahore
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 & 2 support to customers and internal stake holders
- Work closely with Strategy and Planning teams for integration and testing of various products and services
- Design/Deployment/O&M of customers MPLS(EVPN)/internet links, and manage NMS like standard MRTG Softwares
- Critical and analytical skills for co-relation of network faults
- Execute all corporate scalability projects, working with vendors and cross functional teams
- Design and develop architecture diagrams/artefacts for new solutions
- Responsible for corporate infrastructure documentation, diagrams, IP scheming and configuration templates
- 24×7 Availability required to handle network outages and Planned activities
- Provide assistance to Core OPS Manager as required
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Hands On with Major Network Devices
- Candidate having ISP/TELCO experience will be highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact with and assist all various levels within customer organization. Must have excellent written, oral communication and listening skills
- Self-motivated with solid leadership and collaboration skills
- Candidate must be Lahore resident
Education & Experience
- 4 – 6 years relevant experience in deployment, configuration and supporting large, complex, TCP/IP/MPLS-based networks
- Good understanding of TCP/IP MPLS (L2/L3 VPN), MPLS-TE, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, inter-as, carrier Ethernet, QoS, and IPv6
- At least Bachelor’s Degree
- Network certification (CCNA/CCNP/HCNP, CCIE/HCIES) is a strong advantage
