Position Summary
This role involves overseeing the operations, upgrades, and optimization of the Wateen IP/MPLS Core network. This role ensures network reliability and performance through effective support and management of network services.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage network projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and timeline.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for unforeseen network outages or issues, coordinating rapid response and recovery efforts.
- Oversee coordination with vendors and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to finalize trouble reports and secure comprehensive RCA.
- Coordinate with Upstream for new integration and management of existing links.
- Administer DNS management and resolve related customer issues while implementing scalable solutions.
- Deploy customer MPLS and internet links; manage NMS tools like Cacti, WhatsUp Gold, Manage Engine App Manager.
- Maintain 24×7 availability to handle network outages and planned activities.
Education & Experience
- 5 – 8 years of experience in deploying, configuring, and supporting large, complex TCP/IP/MPLS-based networks.
- Proficient understanding of TCP/IP, MPLS (L2/L3 VPN), MPLS-TE, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, inter-AS, carrier Ethernet, QoS, and IPv6.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Routers (7600, ASR900, ASR9000) and switches (6500, Nexus 9000, 3750).
- ISP/Telco experience is highly preferred.
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Network certification (CCNA/CCNP/HCNP, CCIE/HCIE) is a strong advantage.
