Position Summary
The Design Engineer (Solar) will be responsible for designing and supporting the implementation of solar energy systems. The role includes system sizing, preparing technical designs and BOQs, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards while coordinating with internal teams to deliver efficient and reliable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complete solar system design activities for Central & North Region projects.
- Prepare feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Perform system sizing, technical calculations, energy yield assessments, and BOQ preparation.
- Review design documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards, client requirements, and best engineering practices.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and project teams for design-related inputs.
- Participate in technical meetings, site surveys, and design validations when required.
- Support proposal development and provide technical clarifications to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Strong command of electrical design tools, and simulation software as PVsyst, HelioScope, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to prepare and modify engineering drawings, layouts, and 3D visualizations.
- Strong understanding of solar system design, electrical sizing, cable routing, and protection schemes.
- Good skills in design calculations, technical documentation, and cost estimation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E/BS Electrical).
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in the solar design industry.
- Experience in utility-scale / mega-scale solar projects is highly preferred.
