Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of GIS datasets, including fiber network layouts, Assets Locations, Attributions, coverage areas, and infrastructure.
- Coordinate GIS integration with telecom operations systems like Network Management Systems (NMS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS).
- Select GIS software, tools, and Apps, ensuring they are the right fit for the Wateen needs along with SDI by using a decentralization approach.
- Lead and mentor a team of GIS analysts and engineers, ensuring the efficient use of GIS technologies and processes.

Required Skills
- Strong experience with GIS software such as OSM (QGIS, GeoServer) & ESRI Products Arc Objects (SDE, Map, Server) and spatial databases such as Postgres & SQL.
- Having the ability to develop and manage GIS Applications by using Python Django, and ArcPy.
- Knowledge of Utilities Network design principles (Electric and Telecom Geometric Networks).
- Familiarity with network design tools such as AutoCAD, GIS-based design platforms, and other Telco planning tools (Network Engineer and Telcordia).
Education & Experience
- Masters/M.Phil. degree in Space Science, GIS, Geospatial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in GIS Data management, with a focus on Utilities network design, planning, and operations.
