Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled professional with hands-on experience in solar energy projects, particularly with a focus on BESS. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for project execution, management, and delivery within established timelines and budgets, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Design and Engineering:
- Lead the design and development of solar projects including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), focusing on HV, MV, and LT electrical systems
- Can perform system studies such as load flow, short circuit analysis, and fault level calculations to optimize the design
Project Management:
- Manage the full lifecycle of Solar BESS and other utility-scale projects, from initial design through to commissioning and handover and define the Project scope and deliverables
- Can prepare and present project proposals, status reports, and technical documentation to clients and senior management
Technical Oversight:
- Oversee and participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of BESS, solar PV, and electrical components, ensuring that the systems are fully operational and meet performance criteria
- Review and approve electrical designs, schematics, layouts, and specifications for BESS and other renewable energy systems
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration
- Coordinate the project team (engineers, contractors, and site personnel) to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in the design, engineering, and project management of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Expertise in the design, installation, and termination of HV, MV, and LT systems (preferably with hands-on experience in both DC and AC side designs)
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards (NEC, IEC, UL), and grid connection requirements for solar power and BESS systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Education & Experience
- Experience in utility-scale Solar PV projects with integrated BESS
- Advanced understanding of energy storage technologies, including Li-ion, NaS, and other advanced battery chemistries
- Familiarity with renewable energy financial modeling and commercial aspects of solar projects
